Privacy Policy / Data Protection Notice: Chucksperry.net and its affiliated entities located inside and outside the EEA (“Chuck Sperry”, “Chucksperry.net”, “I”, "me", “my”) respects your privacy and seeks to protect your personal data. Chuck Sperry’s Data Principles: I keep to a minimum the amount of information I hold about you. I use your data to respond to your enquiries and provide you with information that I believe you would like to receive about my art, my shows, available artworks and my events (the lawful basis for this is “legitimate interest”).
I also use your data to complete transactions with you on my website and also via my print studio and other affiliated businesses (the lawful basis for this is “contract”). I also use your data to communicate with you where you have signed up and opted in to receive information from me (the lawful basis for this is "consent"). I only hold your data for as long as necessary. I apply appropriate security mechanisms to protect your personal data. My legitimate business interests are balanced with your interests, rights and freedoms and your consent. How long does Chucksperry.net keep my information? I retain personal data for as long as necessary, to fulfill the transactions you have requested, or for other essential purposes (for example, complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes and fulfilling our agreements).

What personal data do I hold and why? When you contact me to make an enquiry, I will use your name and contact information to respond. I will then use this information to communicate with you in the future. I may obtain, collect and update information about you via direct contact with you, from third parties who refer you to me or automatically via your engagement with Chucksperry.net, including your use of our social media channels. On request, I can provide you with access to all information, including proprietary information, that I maintain about you (but not other users unless required to do so by law) including unique identifier information (for example, your customer number or password) and contact information (for example, your name, address and phone number). How I use your information? Chucksperry.net collects and uses your information to administer, support, improve and obtain feedback on my art, events, launches, and practices and to improve your experiences. The information I collect is used for internal review and to improve the content of my website and services. It is also used to notify users about updates about my art. This information is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes. If you submit an employment application to me online through my website or otherwise, all of the information you submit may be used for any and all purposes ordinarily associated with processing an employment application. Who do I share your information with? I work with third parties in the provision of some of my services and it may be necessary for me to share your information with them in order to provide those services. On request, and when relevant, I will provide details of which third parties I work with. I will also discuss and agree on any specific security questions or requirements you may have during the provision of our services. The third parties I work with are encouraged to meet the requirements of the GDPR. When I contract with third parties I enter into agreements that encourage GDPR compliance. For example, for marketing purposes I store your data with Mailchimp. I have entered into a contract with Mailchimp to comply with the GDPR. Your data may be stored in the cloud and I have entered into an agreement with Google in compliance with the GDPR. If I sell an artwork to you, I sometimes share the invoice with a gallery for their records. I also work with EQL, and your data is sometimes shared between me and EQL. I share your data internally and have a data transfer agreement in place that complies with EU law for sharing data from my branches in the EU to outside of the EU. Exemptions to the above are where I am asked to provide information as a result of a court order or to recover monies due. I do not share nor sell your personal data to anyone else.
How long do I store your data for? I will store your personal information for as long as necessary. I am required by law to keep information about financial transactions for the current financial year plus an additional six years. I may store your information on our databases for reference and to record any preferences you have notified to us, for example in relation to your opt-in status to receive marketing communications. The information may be retained and used by me to answer queries or resolve problems, provide improved and new services, to respect your rights under the GDPR and for any data retention requirements of the law. This means I may retain information after you cease interacting with Chucksperry.net. I store your information securely to prevent unauthorised use. Interception of email: Chucksperry.net may intercept email addressed to individuals within Chucksperry.net. The reasons I do this are related to the security of your data, to my security, to the security of my staff and others, for detection and prevention of crime and to identify correct recipients or to make sure mail is dealt with during staff absence. I may reject, delay or remove content from emails which have a nature, content or attachments which may disrupt my systems or because they may pose security issues such as viruses.
